CURRENT HAPPENINGS & UPDATES
GOULEY PARK:
Good news! Volunteers repainted the lines at Gouley Park during the week of June 3 and we now have 6 courts available for play. We are in the process of ordering 2 new Dominator nets (sturdy, aluminum- see images below) and a new lockbox for the outdoor equipment box. You can see that the Township has begun work on the new turf field.

FUTURE PLANS:
More good news! Nether Providence Township is in the process of developing two new mixed use courts in the lower part of Sapovits Park. The courts will be shared with basketball, and the Delco Dills will install an equipment box with 2 nets at this location. We are hopeful that the courts will be ready by early August, so stay tuned.
OPEN PLAY:
The Delco Dills are currently organizing OPEN PLAY sessions in Wallingford, PA at 101 Plush Mill Road (former Summit School location, now Gouley Park). Six courts have been painted on the asphalt parking surface there. We have obtained permission from Nether Providence Township, the property owner, and placed a storage box at the park to house portable nets, pickleball paddles and other supplies to facilitate play by community members.
FUTURE PLANS
The long- range plan of the Delco Dills Pickleball Club is to raise funds to build properly surfaced pickleball courts in our community. The funds will be used to pay for the cost of the court surfaces, permanent nets, fencing between and around courts, a storage shed and other items to make our pickleball courts the pride of Delaware County.
